Russian bank VTB Capital, which has been adding to its payroll at a rapid-fire pace since 2008, will hire 200 bankers this year in Singapore, New York and Hong Kong. VTB specializes in Russian debt and equity sales. Be forewarned: The bank believes in clawbacks, meaning it can yank back bonuses if employees take excess risk or mess things up for the company.

If you're searching for a job in retail banking, try Ohio. Regional and international banks are looking for qualified talent in the state. KeyCorp Bank is planning to fill 390 positions in its branch network as well as for its corporate banking business. Huntington Bank will hire tellers, managers, analysts and portfolio managers. Finally, J.P. Morgan recently built a mortgage operations center in Cleveland. Investment bankers may be in low demand domestically, but that's certainly not true for the retail side of things.
